Trump won. He tweeted for his followers to buy stocks, right before announcing a major pause on most tariffs, leading to a massive surge in the US stock market. This is textbook market manipulation. DOW is up +2960, s&p +9.5%, even tesla +22.7%. Congress, as usual, will do nothing about it. He is going to get away with it, and there is nothing we can do. The stock market is now officially a meme stock.

This is the end of an era.

Edits: My post isn't emotionally driven, as pointed out by several commentors. I sold my puts as soon as Trump hit office. By "Trump won", I meant he is going to get away with it, not that he necessarily benefits from this trade war. Trump left the baseline 10% tariff as well as the tariffs on China.
